Multi-day guided mountain bike expeditions through the Western Cape. Everything handled. You show up, ride, and go home with the trip of your decade.
What we are
The Western Cape,
end to end.
Cape Line Co. is a specialist guided MTB operator built for one destination: the Western Cape. We orchestrate every element of a multi-day trip — routes, trail permits, lodges, vehicles, mechanics, food, transfers — through a closed network of the best operators in each category.
You don't deal with logistics. You don't manage partners. You ride. We handle everything from the moment you land to the moment you leave, so the only question you're answering is whether to attack the descent or hang back and take it in.
We sell direct. We run small groups. We cancel a departure before we run it half-full.

Current departures
Three routes.
All of them serious.
Every route in our library is permitted, ridden by our team, and designed for the rider who's done the big local rides and is ready for something worth a flight.
The process
From enquiry
tooff the plane.
A 20-minute call to understand your group, your fitness level, and what you're after. No pressure. We won't try to sell you a trip that isn't right for you.
We match you to the right route and departure window. 40% deposit secures your spot. Your place is held, permits are confirmed, partners are briefed.
Lodges, guides, shuttle logistics, mechanic support, daily route briefings — all handled. You receive a detailed pre-trip pack 6 weeks out.
On-trip: a dedicated guide, ground support, Garmin comms on every day. After: photos, post-trip dinner, door-to-airport transfer. That's it.
Our way
We run fewer trips.
Better.
- —No trip runs below 7 riders
We consolidate, rebook, or cancel before we run a departure at 60% fill. Group dynamics and unit economics both demand it.
- —Cash in before cost out
Your deposit lands before we commit to partners. Your balance clears before the trip starts. No shortcuts on the financial discipline.
- —No route ships unpermitted
Every trail, concession, and land-access permit is signed before a route appears on our site. Non-negotiable.
- —We ride what we sell
Every operator rides the routes we run, on the bikes we recommend, at guest pace — before publication and at least once each season.

Who this is for
Built for the rider
whoknows the difference.
You've done the big local rides. You travel for sport. You know what premium means and you don't need convincing — you need a trip that actually delivers.
EU, North America, Australia. You've heard about the Cape from people you ride with. Now you want to do it properly.
A team trip with people you already ride with. We handle the logistics; you focus on riding together and not managing the details.
One serious trip, done right. You're placed in a group of riders at your level. Small enough to feel personal; big enough to share the experience.
"I've done guided trips in Moab, Finale Ligure, and Queenstown. The Cape Line trip was the first time I didn't spend a single minute thinking about logistics. I just rode."
