We shortlist the options

We compare the trip types and partner operators that fit, and send you one proposal β€” trip, operator, dates, price and what's included. Usually within a few days.

Home, and a debrief

After the trip we check in. Your feedback goes straight into how we rate our operators, and whether we send the next group to them.

Our non-negotiables

The rules we don't bend.

Checked operators only

No operator joins our list without showing us permits for the trails they ride, qualified guides, and a safety and emergency plan.

No hidden fees

The price in your proposal is the price you pay. Operator terms are in writing before you commit.

Honest fit, every time

If your group's grade or dates don't suit a trip, we say so and propose something else.

Riders first

We work for the rider, not the operator. If an operator stops delivering, they come off the list.

Common questions

Things people ask before they book.

What fitness level do I need?
Intermediate+ trips assume you ride three to four times a week, are comfortable with 40–50 km days and have some experience on technical singletrack. We discuss this on the first call β€” if you're borderline, we'll tell you honestly.
Can I hire a bike?
Most partner operators offer quality trail bike hire or work with a local hire fleet. Budget roughly €60–90 per day. We confirm the exact option and price in your proposal.
Can we ride e-bikes?
Yes, on many of the Winelands networks. Rules differ per trail network and some, like most of the Cape Peninsula, don't allow them. Tell us up front and we'll plan the trip and hire around it.
Is travel insurance required?
Yes, and it must cover mountain biking and emergency medical evacuation. Minimum requirements are listed in the pre-trip pack.
Can we book a private trip on our own dates?
Yes. Every trip we arrange is built around your group and your dates, for roughly two to ten riders. We'll quote per rider.
Who do I pay, and what does Cape Line Co charge?
Your booking and payment are with the partner operator who runs the trip. Cape Line Co arranges the booking and stays your point of contact. In our first season you don't pay us a planning fee. Your proposal states the exact price, currency and payment method.
